Stop blogging, start feeding
In the fourth chapter of God's Economy, Wilson-Hartgrove makes this statement: "Most of us would rather listen to our iPods or blog about hunger than cook a meal for people we know and love." I found this a little ironic, considering I actually have to blog for this class, but it is also true. I am probably one of the least motivated people in the world, when it comes to serving in certain ways. I always put off washing the dishes until my roommate does it, or if she's gone for the weekend I put off washing them until right before she gets back, so she won't think I'm a total slob. In fact, I should be washing them right now; our sink was backed up this weekend and the man from Phys Plant fixed it this morning, so the mountain of stinking, accumulated dishes is calling my name. So why am I still sitting here writing this when I could be washing dishes?
